An Eye on Vivetta Fashion and Design art pieces.

One of the Avant-Gardist italian designer, from Milan. The independent label Vivetta has been created in 2013.Here we can see the growth from year to year, of such a unique company.

If there is one designer that decided to marry art and fashion, it s definitely Vivetta's. The style is taking back the 50's, 60's and readapting it into a contemporary one.

We should first of all, talk about the poetry. The nostalgia of the past helps her to shape a brand new and unique style of clothing: "THESE NOSTALGICALLY ELEMENTS COMBINE TO HYPER CONTEMPORARY SILHOUETTES AND BON-TON PATTERNS CONTRASTING WITH LINES THAT ARE MORE CLEAN, ENRICHED BY UNEXPECTED DETAILS, SURREAL ELEMENTS THAT USUALLY AREN’T CONSIDERED AS FEMININE LIKE THE PROFILES OF FACES AND HANDS IN THE PRECIOUS EMBROIDERIES DECORATING THE CREATIONS BY VIVETTA, A LEITMOTIV OF COLLECTIONS BY THE BRAND." This is how she defines her creative process.

Each piece of clothing is an art pieces that dress up your entire body.

Litérature and poetry influences, are visible in each pieces she makes.

From the wavy prints to the collar, to the decorative aspect her work combine it all. This mix that now create her own universe became the trade mark of the designer. It indeed helped her to make of the body a poetic 'habillage'.

She develops a unique style of textile and pattern that also incorporate drawing.

It s not just not only a drawing print but a cut out drawing that shape a certain part of the body and ornate it. Those ornaments result of a form of story telling on your body.

She creates and invent a way of telling an abstract story over you. As if, at all moment the clothes could whisper in the ear of the one who is looking like in a magic tale.

The famous and gracious hands collars illustrated is a piece of art over your neck. It's an independent piece of clothing that you can marry creatively with an another one.

Its probably one of the first and only designer to have developed such a true and yet special style. She creates ornaments that turns your body an art pieces full of poetry and subtlety.

Illustration and style cannot be separated when we are looking at Vivetta pieces.

As use to say Coco Chanel , " Fashion passes, Style remains.".

Well, this is true when we talk about Vivetta's style and codes.

To my opinion, the illustrative drawings are playing a major role into it. They are a big part to what made Vivetta's design a style above all. One of her trade marks are the two joining hands, profiles or the poetry of the to the oniric long hair profile lady. The gracious line and shape are sawed on to create a unique style of clothing. Playing with the cut out and clothing juxtaposition those are drawing sculpture sawed on to the clothe. The play with the dimensions helps to transform the clothe into a surrealistic story. The the duality of surrealism and her designs, definitely turns the clothing line into a style and not simple clothes. It's really obvious with the profiles drawings; top skirt or dresses that gives to everyone such a powerful and oniric presence that cannot let anyone indifferent. At that moment you can call it style.

Those drawings that Vivetta brilliantly incorporates into her design are marring the body lines.

They underline specific body parts to spouse the lines and bring light on. Each layers are sculpting the body. My favorite, is probably the legendary dress with the two profiles about to kiss each other. The first layer is sewed into the part of the upper body to finish under the breast and underneath there a simple fabric that make the dress. It's also available as a shirt and look lovely on a simple Jean skirt. With simplicity, harmony and yet elegance, she layered the clothing pieces in order to create a dress that totally embraces the body. She called this dress the Hemingway Cashgora Three Quarter Sleeved Dress. She did the same thing with the hand collar that is a single collar that can spouse an another piece of clothe. You can then start to create your own look from it.

Beside the Avant-Gardist role of the collar the two hands are coming with different color tone from blue, orange to the simple white one. We find the same type of concept with the platform shoes and the hand scratch selves. Each pieces take the body in order to valorize and spouse it. It work like real sculpture and art pieces sawed on the body. She used surrealist elements in order to make sculptural art design pieces at an affordable price. The creative design really pushes the boundaries to create a proper style for the woman.

I would like to finish with the new Vivetta 2015 collection that reminded me of Venetian fabulous carnival with the wavy striped shape as well as the color from the satined purple, blue, yellow and black.

That is absolutely fabulous combined with some dresses that are 60 s vintage cut but with pattern that reminded me of the chinese traditional pattern. However, there all have such a specific and contemporary touch to it.

This collection is absolutely marvelous. I just have the simple white hand collar but if I could I would definitely buy most of the design that she makes. They are absolutely unique and beautiful pieces. Vivetta 2015 collection that reminded me of Venetian fabulous carnival with the wavy striped shape as well as the color from the satined purple to the yellow and black.

LOVE LEA.
